It is my pleasure to welcome you to Captain Cook Primary School, a happy, caring and ambitious school where our children are at the heart of everything we do.

At Captain Cook, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, valued and that they truly belong. We want our children to be excited about coming to school, to enjoy learning, to be curious about the world around them and to develop the confidence and ambition to achieve their very best.

We have high expectations for both learning and behaviour and encourage our children to be calm, caring, conscientious and respectful in everything they do. Alongside strong academic foundations, we provide rich experiences and opportunities that help our children discover their strengths, develop their character and create memories that will stay with them long after they leave us.

Our school is very much part of its community and we value the relationships we have with our families. We believe that children thrive when school and home work together and we want every child and family to feel welcomed, listened to and proud to belong to the Captain Cook community.
