Tomorrow is World Book Day, and it’s the perfect chance to spark a love of reading in every child. Stories don’t just build literacy skills, they inspire curiosity, boost confidence and open doors to new worlds.
This week’s #WakeUpWednesday highlights simple, practical ways families can make reading part of everyday life. From creating cosy reading spaces to showing children that reading is fun, small habits can make a big impact.

We are trying to reunite this lovely bunny with her owner. She is looking rather sad without someone to cuddle. 😢😢

It’s arrived! 🤩
The book fair is here. Lots of interesting books ranging from around £2.99 to around £9.99.
Bring your World Book Day token for £1 off the price📚.
The book fair will be in school from Wednesday 4th March until Friday 6th of March. It will be open from 8am until 8.30am and 3.30pm until 4pm in the upper school hall.
Many of our families enjoy a visit to the book fair each year to treat themselves to new books. We run our fair over World Book Day so that each book purchased comes with £1.00 off the price when you use your World Book Day token. Every book sold at the book fair raises money that we can spend on books for our school, so we really appreciate your support.
Alternatively, families can visit the book fair online and buy books directly or through the Wish List.
Please visit bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk for more details. Please remember to link any purchase to our school to ensure we can claim free books for your child’s class.
